A lot of people have a lot of excuses when it comes to learning languages:
It’s too hard.
I hated it at school.
I’m too old.
I don’t have the time.
I’m not good at languages.
It will be a long time before I can actually speak!!!
So I think this quote is appropriate.
Just taking that first step puts things into motion. After you try one time (take one step), the second time and the third time become easier and easier.
Finally it gets to the point where you are walking on your own two feet, without even realizing how far you have traveled.
The hardest part is just to START. To TRY something new.
We are all hesitant. We are afraid. We worry.
But learning about a new language and culture opens up a world of possibilities that you will never regret entering.
